Castnet Seafood: Authentic Southern Seafood Delight in New Orleans

A long standing culturally black owned community seafood hub! My friend said his grandma and mom used to come eat here all the time, they have a fried food section, a raw and boiled food section and a BBQ section a sitting place to eat. It gets pretty busy and so packed they could easily run out of seafood by 2pm. They have all kinds of shell fish, and a variety of red fish and white fish. Parking can get tight. it’s best tome come already knowing what you want or you’ll look lost while everyone else passes by with certainty.

Almost always busy, and for good cause. The best fresh seafood and sandwiches in NOE. Love it!! They also have one blue and one albino crawfish... Living...

Castnet sells a variety of seafood, cooked, fried and boiled. I went there primarily for their boiled crawfish, shrimp and boudin. Others in my party feasted on turkey necks, seafood platter, etc. The restaurant didn't disappoint as the food was decilicious, well seasoned and hot. The workers there were all friendly, fast and helpful. In addition to the indoor dining area, the restaurant has ample outdoor dining areas and parking lots. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking eat at place that sells seafood at a competive price.

A family favorite. We've gotten poboys and plate food for Castnet ever since I can remember. The staff is always friendly and the food is always fresh. If you want to skip the line, call ahead and order. There's also a large parking lot to the side for super busy times.

Heard that they had some great seafood, especially boiled crawfish. The fried seafood was also very delicious! The family was not disappointed. As a matter of fact, it has become a scheduled stop during our visits to NOLA.

Always good food here. Especially the catfish and oysters. Only complaint is that the fresh seafood is right next to the kitchen part and the smell of fresh seafood sometimes be real strong. But it's not anything spoil or nothing just seafood smell.

This is what I was looking forward to when I came to visit NOLA. Friendly service, great food, reasonable prices for the amount of food. 10/10 recommend trying.

Castnet is a throwback! A classic seafood joint where you can get that taste from your childhood, a place where all the seafood tastes like it was pulled right out of our local waters. Not imported, not frozen even! Just fresh old school new orleans seafood.
